The Association organizes the following less formal competitions

Heaviest Pumpkin

A fun competition with both an adult and children’s category. The weigh-in takes place at the Trading
Store on a Sunday around the end of September/beginning of October.

Tallest Sunflower

This light hearted competition has both adult and children’s categories. All the measuring takes place on the same day around the middle of September, but the timing may vary slightly from year to year due to variable seasonal conditions.

Plot Competition

There are two categories in this Association run competition. The Eden Cup, for established plot holders, and the Novices Cup, for new plot holders. Plots are judged by our Association Committee Members at various times throughout the year, with the plotholder(s) with the highest number of accumalated points winning.
